Each person, receives a dance scarf at the beginning of class to set the mood, incense and scented creams are added to create a space of peace, love and encouragement.  This class is for anyone, who loves to dance, wants to dance, or love the human form.

Beyond the Checkboxes: Creating Your Own Power Exchange Dynamic (Lady Elsa/Master Vick) Ever wish there were more models for understanding and creating power exchange dynamics?  Look in the mirror!  Every time a couple defies the stereotypes and goes with what works for them, more  positive role models are created.   This interactive class provides tools and support for defining and discussing your power exchange relationship, not only with each other, but with friends and family and the local BDSM community. 

Effective Communication (Daddy Michael/kittie)  Are you hearing me?- We hear all the time that we ‘must’ communicate in a relationship. But, seldom do we talk about how to effectively communicate with our partners. Mentoring and Training the Next Generation (Lady Elsa/Master Vick)The old saying is true: If you don’t want to do the job you’re doing forever, you’re going to have to teach someone else to do it.  In this class we will discuss ways to on-board new community members and encourage them to step up into leadership roles. You’ll learn the difference between mentoring and training, the pros and cons of formalized mentorship programs, and how to get new people involved in events and activities without overwhelming them.  This is an interactive discussion, so bring your ideas and stories about what has worked for your clubs.

Pet Play for Beginners (DJ-Pup) Calling all pets and handlers! Come and spend some time discussing the basics of pet play. From gear, to headspace, and how to choose your pet. We’ll take a brief glimpse into the history of petplay, and discuss why some of us choose to become animals, and others handlers. What motivates us to seek out this kind of play? Is it sexual? How do we incorporate pet play into our lives and our dynamics. All pets, handlers, and those curious are welcome to join us in this interactive discussion based class.

Ok so you have all the emotional and jealousy issues figured out (or at least bolted down enough not to spray the walls any more). Now you want to get to the nut and bolts of living together as a poly family. This class will cover more of the mechanics of a poly house. Things like money, Shared property, legal status (including picking a lawyer if needed). And even cover the icky subjects of medical, estate, and even death planning. Several options will be covered for all sorts of different dynamics, ranging from tightly bonded long term families to more fluid mobs.

Practical Protocols and Real Life Rituals (Bernie/Marisa) A functional approach to creating rules, protocols and rituals in your dynamic to enhance your lives. We will examine the role these elements play in strengthening a dynamic, how to set up goal oriented functional rules, protocols and rituals and how to continually evaluate and improve for long term success. During the class we offer examples of protocols and rituals from our own dynamic.

Responsible Bottoming (Siren) PRICK and RACK are brought up a lot when it comes to S&M play. It’s more prevalent now than SSC in my opinion. But what is Personal Responsibility in Consensual Kink? What exactly is Risk Aware Consensual Kink? Why are they important? In this class we’ll discuss what both acronyms mean and our views of those definitions. We’ll talk about lesser known negotiation questions and styles, safe words and/or the lack thereof, and mitigating the risks associated with some forms of play.

SKILLS

Art of Strapping (Johnny Lake) This is not your traditional leather strap class. It will of course cover some of the basics but will also show you multiple ways to use straps, including double strapping and Florentine. We will be demonstrating many different types of straps, from 6 inches to 6 feet! We will also go over the proper care, conditioning, and cleaning to make sure your straps stay clean and last you a lifetime!

Canes Galore! (Miss Rae/chris)  If you know anything about Miss Rae, you know her love for canes. And you know her reputation for being able to take someone on a journey with just a “little ol’ stick”. This class will cover a brief explanation of how canes are made, stored and maintained. And then on to the good stuff where she will show you how they are used. Miss Rae will share with you how to use a cane for the best results from your bottom, or how to process the pain if you enjoy having them used on you. Canes can be used in so many ways and Miss Rae will help you learn how to properly use them or how to enjoy having them used on you from sensuous to sadistic and all stops in between. She will go over the basics of how to hold and swing a cane using several different techniques and then the focus will shift into a more advanced lesson on caning. Bring canes if you have them.

Corsetting (Miss Rae/chris) Miss Rae and chris will guide you through the wonderful world of corsets. They will discuss how to pick out the right one for your body shape, how to wear them, how to properly lace it and how to correctly clean and store them. If you have a corset, bring it. If you aren’t sure about how to wear it, it’s okay. You aren’t alone. But you will leave with the confidence to pull it off, and put it back on.

Electric Play (Switch Jake) Actively playing with something your parents told you not to, electricity. Includes toys and safety. Additionally, includes a demo during the class. For those of us who stuck our fingers into electrical outlets and liked it, electricity can be used in a multitude of ways, both pain and pleasure. 

Everything Impact (Johnny Lake) This class will teach the fundamentals of impact play along with some advanced techniques. I will unpack my toy bag and demonstrate how to create a magical scene, one that leaves your submissive floaty and in pure bliss.  I will also make sure to cover proper aftercare etiquette. The class will conclude with a Q&A and a show and tell, so please feel free to bring your favorite impact tools!

Florentine Flogging (Master Oakman/slave diamond) This is a hands-on workshop requiring two similar in weight and length floggers. (W/we have extras) Florentine Flogging involves two floggers used simultaneously and in unison to produce a rhythm of strikes. The over and underhanded wrist motion used in this technique requires accuracy, skill and control of the tails of the floggers. Other factors include the length and material of the tails that the floggers are made of producing unique sensations either stingy or thuddy depending on the desired effect.

Male Sounding The: Sounds of Sounding (Master Tony) The old-time mariners developed a process of measurement which came to be known as sounding. In today’s various worlds this term “sounding” has taken on various meanings, different yet derivative of each other. For those of us within the Leather/BDSM world, “sounding” is a rather awesome form of sensation play. This workshop explores the proper way to enjoy and explore male sounding. This demo/class will cover safety concerns as well as the basics of using sounds for play along with structuring a scene with sounds as the focal point.

Playing Hard with Fragile Bodies (RobinPyro/redwarrior) Even heavy Sadists and masochists can fall prey to illnesses, injury, and body changes that make it tough to play in the same ways they may be used to.  This class is about how to satisfy the needs of the heavy player when traditional forms of heavy play may be off the table.  We’ll talk about satisfying a heavy masochist without tearing your rotator cuff from swinging heavy floggers for hours as well as how to work around common physical issues in scenes and how to adjust scenes for those times when a chronic issue flares up.  We’ll also talk about how to talk to your doctors and medical providers about sensitive topics like sex and play as part of a treatment strategy.

Punching and Kicking (Spike) Everyone uses floggers, whips and canes in the dungeon but some people are turned off by the sight of one person punching another one. Learn why punching and kicking are frowned upon in dungeons, and how you can do it safely and properly.

Single Tail Whips 101 (Master Oakman/slave diamond) This is an introductory class which teaches how to throw and make a whip crack…Learn Fundamentals, Repetition (of good fundamentals) and finesse. Everyone will crack the whip, regardless of skill level. Hands on.  Bring your own whip to class but don’t worry if you don’t have one as we have plenty to share.

Straight Razors: Erotic Shaving and Shaving as a Service (Madame Hexe) Straight razors are, for most people, equally sexy and terrifying. Both the mastercraft and lethal aspects of this tool add to its appeal and help it find a place in the hallowed halls of edgeplay. A straight razor’s foremost function is that of a personal grooming tool. This class will focus on using a straight razor for both erotic play scenes based on intimacy, fear, and trust, as well as shaving as a form of Service. The care and maintenance of straight razors will also be included in the discussion— your play and Service is only as good as your tools.

Mind Fucks: The Ultimate Discomfort Zone (Dr Evil/Ms Julie) Everyone loves a magic show. We sit in the audience and try to figure out how the trick is done or just sit back in wonder at the illusion. Your conscious brain is lead by the magician to see things that aren’t really there or are too obvious to accept. What is the energy of creating the illusion and then playing with that illusion in your scene or in your play at home? Frankly, it’s yummy, often hysterical, and best of all, it can re-energize our day to day drudge. Attendees must be open and willing to participate in merely the pain of personal growth.

Safety & How to Engage in Play Piercing 101 (The Carnie) Play piercing is done for the purpose of enjoyment (or pain) rather then permanent body decoration. Breathplay With Rope (Bright Shadow)  This is an edgeplay rope class that is only appropriate for experienced or advanced practitioners of rope bondage. This class will explore, through demonstrations and tie along exercises, different ways of using rope constriction to control the bottom’s ability to breathe freely. There are many different ways rope can be used in this way, from simply “choking” the bottom with rope to forcing the bottom into strenuous body positions that slowly restrict breathing over time. Due to the risks involved in this type of rope play, the first section of the class will provide an in depth discussion on safety.

Rope for Every Body Type (Bright Shadow)  Rope is infinitely versatile and flexible but our bodies are not. Similarly, most people’s body types do not fit into the stereotypical images of skinny, flexible cis women that we tend to see online and in social media. Rope is infinitely adaptable and we always adapt the rope to our partners, never the other way around. And it can be adapted to ANY body type, including male bodies, bodies with injuries and bodies that struggle with flexibility.This will be a collaborative workshop focusing on different methods and techniques for adapting rope to body types that are underrepresented in popular depictions of bondage, including tying people with disabilities, flexibility problems or body types that deviate from our culture’s normative beauty standards. As the technical focus of this class is on ways to modify typical approaches and techniques, this class is for intermediate to advanced level riggers who are already familiar with common rope bondage patterns and techniques

Rope: Roadmaps vs. Compass Headings (Spike) A class that explores rope in a way that doesn’t teach in a step-by-step fashion. But instead teaches in a philosophical self-exloration manner (it’s not THAT “woo woo”, relax)
